The title of the sequence is 'Love on the line', you probably guessed that it's about love hence the title. It is a romantic comedy. The opening sequence starts with both characters Eddie Lee and Jessica Long, our female protagonists for another day of hard work in the city. While Jessica is a well-prepared, organized beautiful woman, Eddie on the other hand is a not so well-prepared, unorganized man who has a yearn in his heart for the beautiful Jessica. We see them on their way to the train station but unlike Jessica, Eddie missed his train because he was late. Then, we go on to see the city. Jessica arrives to work to see her boyfriend Trevor Watson, they embrace in a hug and then Eddie comes rushing in to see Jessica and Trevor in an embrace. This leaves him heartbroken and that's where the title sequence ends.
The sub genres of 'Love on the Line' are romance and comedy. It's a romantic and comedic sub genre because when they are combined, becomes a rom-com.
